Organization
Incorporated in 1994, the Upper Chesapeake Community Band is based in Rising Sun, MD, and is a 50-member all volunteer concert band that provides music throughout the northern Maryland area in a wide variety of venues. The Band prides itself on its makeup of all ages, backgrounds, and musical ability, and it gives talented students an opportunity to play in an adult ensemble. The band also gives adult musicians a way to continue performing after leaving school.
Membership
Interested in joining? We are always looking for new musicians to join us in any instrumental section. We have teenagers, senior citizens, and everything in between. Our members are from all walks of life and levels of musical ability. There are no auditions to participate. If you play an instrument, or once played an instrument, and would like to find out more, send us a note.
